Zombies are popular. Currently, there’s an overabundance of zombie movies in the works, zombie comic books and novels, and even a zombie t.v. show. Zombie wedding videos? I’m not so sure about that. I was fortunate enough to be Rob and Sunny’s choice for wedding photographer (you can see some of their engagement pics here). They also hired a mutual friend of ours, Jarret Blinkhorn, to shoot their wedding video (you can see some of his stuff here — it’s terrific). Instead of doing a traditional save the date, they decide to shoot a zombie save the date short film. I highly recommend that you stop what you’re doing and watch it. Check it out!
With a highly calamitous, cliffhanger ending (you did watch the video, correct?), it was obvious that a follow-up was needed. So, this past Monday we all gathered at Camp Greene in Coventry to shoot the second half, which will see its premiere during the wedding reception. There were plenty of dilapidated buildings, willing zombie extras, and copious amounts of fake blood. I was fortunate to be a part of the festivities, lending a hand with some b-roll footage and some general, zombie direction (Move slower! Eat that foot faster! More moaning!). In the interim, I managed to get in a few photos.
(Note: no humans were harmed in the making of these pictures… although, everyone started to complain of hunger issues.)
